OVERVIEW

The Puddingstone Reservoir was constructed in 1928 as part of a flood control plan in Southern California. Over the decades, contaminants began to collect and build up in the reservoir. Now, there exists a problem with the amount of contaminants in the water. Our team has developed a design proposal which would help remove contaminants from the water, and increase the overall quality. The removal of contaminants will increase the health of the reservoir and positively impact the community that uses the lake recreationally.

About the Project: Intro

Puddingstone Reservoir - Site View

This video clip shows the different areas where our project is taking place at the Puddingstone Reservoir. Places of note in the site fly-over are Walnut Creek, the main outflow of the reservoir, Live Oak Wash, which is the main inflow area for the reservoir, and the Swim Beach. The Swim Beach is where visitors to Bonelli Park may swim recreationally, and is also one of two locations at the site where focused dredging will take place to remove contaminants in the sediment.
