MEET THE TEAM

OUR TEAM
Knowledge Meets Curiosity
Over the course of several months, a group of 15 aspiring civil engineering students gathered together to combine their skills to design and execute the complex project on the remediation of Puddingstone Reservoir. This team includes three specializations of civil engineering which include: environmental, general, and geospatial. Having a wide range of specializations allows for a well-rounded team.
The group of seniors has been led by two well-known professors at California State Polytechnic University in Pomona, Dr. Mora, and Dr. Palomo.
Dr. Omar Mora achieved a Ph.D. in Geodetic Engineering from the Ohio State University in 2015, as well as a Masters's degree in Geomatics Engineering from Purdue University in 2010. Dr. Monica Palomo also achieved her Masters's degree as well as her Ph.D. in civil engineering from Kansas State University in 2003 and 2008, in that respective order. Dr. Palomo is a Board Certified Environmental Engineer. With their impressive backgrounds in civil engineering, both advisors were able to guide the team through this academic milestone.
